课程简介

The MOOC of Cell Biology Experiments aims to improve basic knowledge and experimental skills and introduce cutting-edge applications of cell biology to students. This course is mainly composed of eight themes, including five themes of basic experimental methods and three themes of practical cutting-edge research technologies. The first five themes of basic experimental methods are: the use of microscopes, cell specimen preparation, cell acquisition and cell separation, cell culture , cell viability assay. The practical cutting-edge research technologies include: apoptosis detection, autophagy detection, cell migration and invasion assays. Each experimental chapter is divided into three parts: method overview, experiment demonstration and analysis of experimental results. Before experimental teaching, two special opening lectures are presented to enhance your learning interest and broaden your insights.

The education ideas of this MOOC are based on comprehensive consideration of all aspects of learners requirements. The contents are from basic to comprehensive, from classic to frontier, and from method to application in order to improve the learners’ scientific research capacity.

The course teachers have plenty of experiences in teaching and are engaged in cell biology teaching and research for many years. They focus on teaching research and the construction of digital teaching materials. In the experimental teaching of cell biology, they can provide good instructions with experience accumulated for decades. The course is filmed in the National Demonstration Center for Life Sciences Experiment Education, Nanjing University.

Hope you have a wonderful learning experience and gain a lot of knowledge from this course.
