课程简介
本课程的目的是帮助学习者掌握大学英文基本的写作方法和技巧，打好英文基础，为论文写作、出国留学和将来对外交流做好充分准备。英文写作说到底是一门实践课。因此，本课程强调实践，讲授按照过程写作法组织知识点，例子剖析贯穿始终，为学生提供边学边练的机会。课程结束时，学员能够基本掌握大学英文写作。
《大学英文写作（一）》包含8单元，重点帮助学习者了解写作过程和学习规律，能够基本完成西方高校英文写作课程、人文社科课程和专业课程一般性的写作任务、写作规范和写作方法，作文基本做到条理清晰，连接自然，论据充分，具有说服力。
《大学英文写作（二）》包含12单元，内容包含各种常见写作策略：描述和叙事、过程说明、比较和对比、因果分析、举例说明、分类法和定义法等等，重点放在论说文写作。人类思维经常是相通的，但同时由于文化和思维方式的差异，让英文写作中策略的运用形成了一些特点，与中文写作不甚相同。如果了解和把握这些特点，就能够有效运用写作策略。
考虑到学习者的实际需要，本课程还补充了4个“how to"单元：”如何写学期论文”， “如何写摘要”，“如何写留学申请信和简历”和“如何写个人陈述”。
本课程适用对象：已修完《大学英语》课程，选修英文写作或者希望继续提高英文写作能力的学习者，以及准备出国深造的学习者。
