      本课程旨在使学生对英国文学形成与发展的全貌有基本的了解,掌握英国文学发展的基本脉络,掌握各个时期主要作家以及主要文学流派的创作特色及创作主张。通过阅读和分析部分主要作品,促进学生语言基本功、综合人文素质及文艺鉴赏水平的提高。通过文学的阅读,提高运用正规书面英语写作与翻译的能力。文学是语言的载体, 通过文学的学习能使学生把语言与文学有机地结合起来, 使学生在学习语言与文学的过程中更好地了解英国的社会时尚、风土人情及人文思想等。
