本课程基于“语言为根”、“思辨为枝”、“应用为本”、“可持续发展为核”的指导理念，注重教学过程中的语言知识传授、思维能力培养、思想引领与价值塑造。本课程分为13单元讲授，每单元包括四小节：第一小节为演讲与辩论基础知识储备，第二小节聚焦基于案例的技能点拨，第三小节讲授英语语音知识，第四小节讲解留学英语（雅思和托福）口试部分环节题型、应答策略及如何与考官进行沟通。通过本课程学习，学习者能够提升英语语音、英语语言能力、调研能力、分析能力、演讲稿写作能力、理性思考能力、跨文化交际能力等，从而能够策略性地、艺术性地、有说服力地、流利准确地表达自己的思想观点，做到言之有物、言之有据、言之有情地传递思想。本课程适用于高中及以上对英语演讲与辩论感兴趣的在校学习者及有意提高人际沟通能力的社会学习者；有志于提高英语语言应用能力、特别是想提高雅思、托福口语版块成绩的学习者；有意参加各类别英语口语、演讲及辩论比赛的学习者；希望在国际会议、国际学术交流中提高沟通交际效果的学习者。
